Sensei Derek Promoted to 3rd Degree Black Belt

On November 7th, 2009, Sensei Derek tested for 3rd degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate and was promoted under the Worldwide Kenpo Karate Association (WKKA) in Baltimore, Maryland. The judges included President of the WKKA, Grandmaster Joe Palanzo and Master Frank Trejo.

Special thanks to Mr. Charlie Ogle, 5th degree black belt, for being Sensei Derek’s partner at the test.

Mr. Charles Ogle, 5th Degree Black Belt Joins Our Staff

Champion Kenpo Karate would like to welcome Mr. Charles Ogle, 5th degree black belt in the American Kenpo Karate System. Mr. Charlie has been Sensei Derek’s kenpo instructor for the past 15 years. He brings with him a vast knowledge base of American Kenpo Karate.

Mr. Charlie will be teaching the advanced kenpo class on Friday nights. He will also be available on Tuesday and Thursday nights at the dojo.
